The Shepparton Aboriginal Street Art Project Murals were painted by well-known artist Adnate, and depict the late William Cooper and the late Pastor Sir Douglas Nicholls KCVO OBE MBE, two significant past local elders Aunty Margaret Tucker (MBE), one of Australia’s first female Aboriginal rights activists, and Nora “Nanny” Charles, one of the earliest and best known local Aboriginal midwives. The Aboriginal Street Art Project has been named by locals as ‘Dana Djirrungana Dunguludja Yenbena-l’ which means ‘Proud, Strong Aboriginal People’ in Yorta Yorta language.
Moooving Art is a unique and ever-changing public art revolution. Scattered across Greater Shepparton’s parks, gardens, riverbanks and public spaces is an array of colourful, ever-changing fibreglass cows that make up the Moooving Art herd.
