Budget Motel The Foundry Palms Motel is a member of the Budget Motel Chain which means our standards are to provide clean, comfortable and affordable accommodation to our guests. The motel is situated on High Street (town centre) which is a short stroll to cafes, bakeries and museums. 

The Foundry Palms Motel is just a five minute walk away from the Charlton Golden Grains Museum which features a unique collection of over 3,000 artefacts and photographs from Charlton’s early pioneer days through to today. This museum also has a Family Research facility and resources to help you with your family history research. 

Close by you will find the Avoca River which is part of the Murray-Darling Basin. Stop at the Travellers Rest and you can walk across the small bridge which crosses the Avoca RIver. You will also find Wooroonook Lakes which is a quick 10 minute drive from the Foundry Palms Motel and is a great location for a picnic, BBQ, swimming and fishing. 

Charlton itself is a small rural town of tree-lined streets, situated on both banks of the Avoca River. Charlton has a population of around 1300 people and is located 245 km north-west of Melbourne via the Calder Highway and 118 m above sea-level.
