Want to learn more about the many attractions in the Horsham region? You’ve come to the right place! There is something for everyone to enjoy, no matter your age or area of interest.

One of the main reasons that visitors come to the Horsham area is to enjoy all of the attractions that the region has to offer. In particular, we recommend checking out the Grampians National Park, Mount Arapiles, May Park, the Horsham Botanic Gardens, Sawyer Park, Weir Park, and Police Paddock. With the Wimmera River flowing through the township, you’ll also find that water activities (like swimming, boating and fishing) are also popular.

The town is home the Horsham Golf Club, which is known for being one of the best in country Victoria and has even been ranked amongst the top 50 courses in Australia. If you had the idea of playing a few different courses, you will not be disappointed – nearby courses can be found out Drung Golf Club (12 minutes drive), Pimpinio Golf Club (16 minutes drive), Toolondo Golf Club (30 minutes drive) and Natimuk Golf Club (30 minutes drive).

Family Friendly

If you’re visiting Horsham with the kids in tow, you will be pleased to learn that there are plenty of more family friendly attractions for you all to enjoy (besides the stunning natural surrounds and many events, of course). Try your hand at Stone Forest Adventure Mini Golf, play a game at the local ten pin bowling alley, go for a dip at the Horsham Aquatic Centre, let the kids run wild at Kids Caper Play Centre, or catch a latest film at the Centre Cinema.

The region is host to a number of events throughout the year, which we highly recommend checking out if you happen to be in town. Some of the more popular ones include the Horsham Triathalon, Wimmera Machinery Field Days, Horsham Fishing Competition, Horsham Country Music Festival, Art Is…Festival, Spring Garden Festival and NatiFrinj Festival. There are also plenty of local markets, from Haven Market and Jung Market to the Natimuk Farmers Market.

The Horsham region actually has quite a strong connection with its artistic side, as shown by its many art and cultural attractions. In particular, we recommend the Horsham Regional Art Gallery, Horsham Art Gallery, Makers Gallery and Studio, Natimuk Goat Gallery, Red Rock Gallery, Olde Horsham, and the Wesley Performing Arts Centre. Art can also be found in public places, from Angela Polglaze’s totem pole to Tim Jones’ scar tree sculpture.

Local Produce

You cannot visit the region without sampling some of its delicious local produce. If you cannot resist a glass of wine or two, we suggest heading to Norton Estate Wines or Barangaroo Boutique Wines (both of which have cellar doors open for tastings). If you’re more of a foodie, we highly recommend Grampians Olive Co, Nicolas Olive Estate, Red Rock Olives and Grampians Pure Sheep Milk Dairy – grab a few pieces and enjoy a delicious tasting plate back at your room!
