Portland is a colourful city by the seaside in Victoria, and interestingly the oldest European settlement in the state. This picturesque location has plenty of historical appeal and is nothing short of the perfect holiday destination, with mesmerising coastline and beaches, water-based activities, established gardens, diverse shopping experiences and plenty of natural attractions to enjoy. The William Dutton Motel is a short walk to the civic centre of Portland offering neat and bright accommodation at an affordable price.


A range of different rooms are available at the motel, including Adjacent Rooms with one queen bed (sleeping up to 2 guests), Executive Rooms with one queen bed and one single bed (sleeping up to 3 guests), Family Rooms consisting of one queen bed and your choice of one or two single beds (sleeping 3+ guests) and the spacious Two Bedroom Unit with one queen bed and two single beds (sleeping up to 4 guests).


The motel has DVD players available for use, and can also cater to extra and children under 12 years old whilst also able to provide a cot on request for a minimal fee.

The Portland Botanic Garden is a unique property with over 13,000 dahlias planted annually and blooming vibrantly over the late Summer and early Autumn months. Be inspired by the parks historical narrative - the 2nd oldest garden in Victoria – and explore the cottage tucked away within the gardens and its croquet lawns and brilliant examples of native and exotic plants.

Trek through the remote Discovery Bay Coastal Park and take in part of a staggering 55km of ocean beach. The parks rugged coastal cliffs, sandy plains and freshwater lakes and swamps are home to a diverse variety of native vegetation and wildlife.
